Maxiva™ GateSwitch
Automatic switchover units for ASI and RF signals
OVERVIEW
GatesAir’s Maxiva GateSwitch N+1 or N+2 automatic switchover unit provides transmission redundancy and is the key to prevent transmission interruptions.
The GateSwitch system has been carefully engineered to provide maximum reliability for your transmission, by providing redundancy at 4 levels:
- N+1 or N+2: Within a single compact 2RU or 3RU rack, OneSwitch offers broadcasters either N+1 or N+2 transmitter redundancy, for up to 7+1 or 6+2 transmitters (OneSwitch has been optimized for use with OneDriver, OneCompact or OnePower systems).
- Input Stage: Redundancy at the input stage is also offered (in instances where two separate distribution networks are used). Switching is provided between two independent ASI/BTS/ETI inputs, or for multiple RF inputs, or via an RF input passive splitting network.
- Power Supply: OneSwitch does not include an internal power supply. Instead, it uses one of the power supplies of the transmitters connected to it. Therefore, in a 4+1 configuration, there are a total of five available power supplies, dramatically reducing the risk of failure!
- Data Communication: An IP switch is implemented within OneSwitch for fast and reliable data communication with every transmitter connected to it. In case the IP link fails, a Serial communication link automatically takes over.
Four excellent reasons to enhance your broadcast transmission reliability by using Maxiva GateSwitch!
